LOGAN - The SwanSong

LOGAN - One of the very few action movies that has been delivered matching to the expectations. Being the last movie in the Wolverine series, it was bound to have very high expectations. The director has really ensured to thrill the audiences with tailor made scenes that will make the audiences excited, sad, joyous and the best of all, shout along with the WOLVERINE @ LOGAN!!!

The opening 15-20 mins sets the tone for the movie and the director has clearly ensured that this is not a typical superhero movie but will have moments where the "superhero" will be glorified. Action movies should have realtime action sequences and the stunt choreography should be applauded for the effort they have put in. Starting from the initial action block, the audience are made to believe that the movie is going to have blood spilling action sequences, which to my surprise, works out pretty well for the movie. With the claws, it would have been very poor if the action sequences were made in other ways.

The surprise package was the Jr.Logan, Laura who has performed exceedingly good. The director has matched the characterization of the little girl with that of Logan and it has resulted in an incredible combination. There are instances where the audience is made to smile, laugh and also feel sorrow along with the girl. Certain one-liners really make the movie share a lighter moment amidst the heavy scenes.

As always, Charles Xavier has delivered a smooth yet respectable performance which is much needed to this movie. There are instances where the audience will have to smile at the witty one liners against Logan.

Overall, the WOLVERINE brand needed a grand exit and the director along with Mr.Jackman, has given everyone what they wanted. A grand finish to the 17 year saga and we all should accept that the character WOLVERINE @ LOGAN would not have been justified without Hugh Jackman!!!

DRIVE TO KODAI IN THE BE(A)ST BIKE!!!

For a very long time, I have been wanting to go on a drive in my Royal Enfield 350. Everytime, the idea will be dropped at the planning stage due to some constraint. However, few months back, myself and my friend wanted to get this plan worked out and decided to go on the trip on Jan 26th 2017. Basically, the plan was to do a round trip, Chennai - Kodaikaanal - Chennai. Planning Phase: During the initial period, there were many who showed interest in joining us for the trip. However, as the days passed by, the interest level got drained off and it was myself and my friend who decided to go on this trip. Finally, it was 2 bikes (2 Royal Enfield 350cc), 2 people (Myself and Sudhakar), 4 days trip. The plan itinerary was to start our drive on 26th Jan early morning 4:30AM and reach Kodai around 5PM the same day. Next day (27th Jan), local tour of Kodai (Visiting all the primary spots). By 28th Jan morning, around 8AM, start our journey and head towards Salem for our night halt an

And now, after 7 months, we have completed an awesome bike trip and I am very eager to share the trip along with you all. Ever since we completed the Kodai trip, whenever we met, we always ensured to remind ourselves that we have to go on another trip somewhere, sometime soon. Finally, we decided to use the long weekends in the month of August 2017. As always, there were initial hiccups on deciding the places, between Wayaanad/Ooty and finally out of nowhere the thought of Coorg lit us bright. Planning Phase: After much discussions, the date was fixed and by 25th July 2017, we decided and confirmed that we shall be doing a bike trip to Coorg (Madikeri) and the route plan will be CHENNAI - CO

A Bird's Eye view of Chennai from Light House!!!

Most of those who have Chennai as their birth place, might not have visited the light house and I was one among them till 6th Dec 2013. I have to be honest, it's been more than 3 years since I visited the Light House but still I am able to recollect the memories as if it happened recently. Situated at the beginning of the world famous Marina Beach, it was opened to public after a gap of 2 decades. The view from the top is absolutely stunning, especially the sea side view, provides a different outlook about the sea. There are totally 10 floors at the light house and the 9th floor alone is open for public view. You can reach the 9th floor using the elevator service. Pictures should speak for themselves and I hope you too will agree as you go through them!!! About Light House!!!
